Volterra 1956, lives and works in Cerreto Guidi

My research on floral and natural elements and butterflies stems from the desire to show beauty, the strength and fragility of life. My paintings are not still lives, they are living natures. My flowers are not cut they are shown in a moment of life. My flowers are not flowers, they are vital symbols, not stains of decorative colours but beautiful natural architectures. The world needs hope, in this historical moment I consider it more revolutionary to paint flowers than to paint injustices and tragedies.
