The chess historian Mario Leoncini, who has always been involved in dissemination and chess research, renews the collaboration with the SENSI ARTE Contemporary Art Gallery in the sign of the common passion for the game in its different facets.
Through two different expressive mediums, graphics and painting, SENSI ARTE presents the artist Matteo Nannini‘s solo show, for whom Mario Leoncini plays the role of works’ director and patron. In the main room will be exposed oils on canvas dedicated to the history of the game, while the main area of the gallery will host Bobby Fischer’s graphic novel original boards. The exhibition will be accompanied by the sculptural contribution of the artist Alessandro Reggioli with chess pieces in raku ceramic.
Definitely an atypical exhibition in the contemporary panorama that the Gallery wants to dedicate to the “Nobil Giuoco” symbol of art, strategy, science and creativity, but above all a metaphor of life itself.
The opening is scheduled for March 9, at the POP-UP Gallery SENSI ARTE in Siena on the occasion of eighty-one years since Bobby Fischer’s birth.
